The Traffic Light Hack

The Materials

• A traffic light (in reality, any light fixture will do)
  
• One PC board
• Three 5VCD/1A SPDT Micro Relays
• One line driver CMOS chip (I used the 74HCT125)
  
• One male 25-pin (parallel cable) D-Sub connector
• One male to female parallel cable (or you could use a male-to-male cable with a female connector instead, it doesn't really matter)
• A power cable that plugs into the wa ll
• A source of 4.5 - 5VDC
• A switch
